Mrs. Olufunke Osibodu who is the Group Managing Director of Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, studied Economics at the University of Ife and is also an Alumna of the prestigious Harvard Business School. She was the CEO of Vigeo Capital Limited as well as head of Financial and Investment services arm of the Vigeo Group, a conglomerate involved in various sectors (oil & gas, shipping, power, financial services) of the Nigerian economy, where she is also serving as a Director. With over 27 years of banking experience, she has been the Managing Director of two banks, MBC and more recently Ecobank Nigeria Plc, before becoming a Director in the parent holding company of Ecobank, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, a position she left in August 2006. In additional to an excellent banking career, Mrs Osibodu has held various positions of prominence in the business community and has served in various government appointed committees. As well as being a member of vision 2010, she has been a director of ValuCard, Nigeria Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS), Consolidated Discount House Limited, First Securities Discount House Limited, MBC Securities Limited and ESL Securities Limited. A recipient of various awards, in the non-financial realm, she is also a Director, Enterprises for Development International, a Non-Governmental Organisation and the Centre for Law and Business – a private law university. She became the Chairman of Union Assurance Company Limited on the 14 August 2009.

In far away Monrovia, in the Gambia, Godwin Ejembi Odah began his career in style having completed a robust diploma in insurance at the West African Insurance Institute graduating as the overall best student of the school in 1982. On return, the career blossomed uniquely as he joined UNIC Insurance in 1983. While at the leading insurer of the time, he rose to the position of General Manager, Chief Technical Officer and sat on the board as Alternate Director . Thereafter, he joined A&G Insurance Company as the Deputy Managing Director and later moved on to Lion of Africa Insurance where he resigned as the CEO. Odah has a demonstrable record of team spirit and has endeared so many players as well as other employees to himself and his unique intelligence. He is both a change agent and people-first manager and administrator. He holds a 1978 Bachelors Degree in History from the pan-Nigerian University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Master of Business Administration from Lagos State University. He also holds a diploma of the College of Administration. He is an alumnus of the Pan African University, Lagos. Odah is a former president of the Chartered Institute of Administration and holds Fellowship of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Administration. He returned to his alma mater as visiting lecturer in Marketing and Management, at the West Africa Insurance Institute, The Gambia in 1998-2004. In the course of his career development, he attended International Reinsurance Course, London in 1985; Management Training Course, Douces Manor, England, 1990; Reinsurance Management Seminar, Zurich, Switzerland, 1991; Senior Management Programme Lagos Business School – 1994; Advance Management Programme, Pan African University, 2002. Odah is happily married to Mrs. Betty Odah and they are blessed with beautiful children.

Mr. Odukale holds a Bachelors Degree in Mathematical Sciences and Post Graduate Degree in Actuarial Science obtained from City University, London. He was appointed to the Board in April 1999. He brings to the Board, a wealth of experience in investment given his present portfolio as Executive Director (Investments) at Leadway Assurance Company Limited.
